4.1.4 Building systemic capacity for investment-ready NAPs: Addressing critical gaps in the climate finance ecosystem
This session will address critical capacity-building gaps that hinder investment readiness for NAP implementation in developing countries. It will explore collaborative approaches to strengthen institutional and individual capacities for developing bankable projects, with a spotlight on the Africa Union’s GRAP program as a model for scalable support. The session includes presentations, interactive workshop stations, and a synthesis discussion to prioritize needs and co-develop practical solutions. Key areas of focus include understanding financial instruments, accessing finance, stakeholder engagement, and strengthening institutional frameworks for data-driven project development. The session aims to generate actionable recommendations for the PCCB’s 2025 knowledge product and support countries in mobilizing investments for effective NAP implementation.
